Split a sprite sheet into game assets — free, no upload
Got a sheet of game elements — characters, items, icons — on one background and need each as its own transparent PNG? This free sprite sheet splitter removes the background and auto-extracts every element at its native size, right in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
How to extract game assets
- Open your sheet. Drop in your sprite/asset sheet.
- Remove the background. Click Auto remove (four corners) for a flat background, then refine with the magic wand or brushes.
- Auto split. Hit Auto split — each element is detected by its transparent surround and cut out at native resolution.
- Download. Save one asset, or download them all as a ZIP.
Native size, ready for your engine
Unlike stickers, game assets are kept at their original pixel size — no forced square — so they drop straight into Unity, Godot, or your own engine. For a clean extract, generate or export the sheet on a single flat background colour and leave a little gap between elements.
Frequently asked questions
Is the sprite sheet splitter free?
Yes — free, no account, no watermark.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser, so your assets never leave your device. See our Privacy Policy.
What size are the extracted assets?
Each keeps its native pixel size, cropped tight to the element.
My sheet is a regular grid — can I cut by rows and columns?
Yes. For an evenly-spaced grid, use the Image Splitter to cut by rows × columns.
