Imagesplitter is a free, browser-based toolkit for people who work with images every day — social media creators, designers, marketers, teachers, and anyone who needs to prepare a picture quickly without installing heavy software or signing up for an account.
The core tool takes a single image and splits it into an even grid of tiles. This is the technique behind the popular Instagram "carousel" and multi-square grid layouts, where one large picture is cut into pieces that line up perfectly on a profile. Beyond splitting, Imagesplitter has grown into a small suite of everyday utilities: an image compressor for shrinking file sizes without visible quality loss, an AI upscaler for enlarging small or low-resolution pictures, a watermark remover, and a background remover. Each tool is designed to do one job well and finish in a few clicks.
Most image tasks are simple in theory but annoying in practice. Cutting a photo into a neat 3×3 grid by hand in an image editor means measuring pixels, drawing guides, and exporting each square one at a time. Compressing an image for the web usually pushes you toward a bloated app or a site buried in ads and upsells. We wanted a place where these small jobs are genuinely fast, work on any device with a browser, and never ask you to create an account or pay before you can see the result.
You upload an image, choose your settings — for the splitter, that means the number of rows and columns and, optionally, fine adjustments to individual cells — and the tool processes it and gives you the results to download, either as individual files or a single ZIP archive. Processing happens on our server, and uploaded files are automatically deleted after a short retention period; we do not build profiles on you or sell your data.
